| It must be nice to live in a constant state of denial. This seems like a page from SteAmy's playbook if you ask me: "I asked him for a full refund but by the 30th November he was saying that he did not have money available to send, but he did have 3 radiators made and ready to go. He offered to send a radiator out that week and to refund part of the cost for the troubles that he had caused. I agreed but then by the 16th December ( after being chased again) he said that one radiator had shown a small high pressure leak which was being repaired and it would be sent out 'later today, tomorrow at the latest'....... Since then, no radiator, no replies to my two emails, and no money. The above quote was taken from a post just 4 short days ago La-Z-Link. He doesn't have time to reply to phone calls, emails, IMs, yet he can write dissertations here about this, that, and anything else that pleases his fancy while ignoring customers who have given him their money. He posts how he's changing his business model yet nothing changes. When will this madness stop? And I also question his design prowess. All of the "production" issues he's had clearly point to him not putting the time and energy into ALL areas of the design process. A good design goes beyond making pretty drawings and doing tolerance studies - was the production process factored in to the design? Did he consult with the intended mfg'r to see if their process can support the intended design/tolerances? Or was he trying to meet over-optimistic promise dates and rushed through things and hoped everything will turn out right. The recycled story of how the ________ (fill in the blank) manufacturer didn't make the parts correctly is just an excuse - it's always their fault. But don't worry, he's got a new source and those new items will be produced and shipped right away. (/sarcasm) If this was a one-time occurrence, then I think it would be easy to look past the issue but it seems to be a repeating cycle for him. So as much as you want to say I'm fighting a losing battle, I think it's clear which side the losing battle is on. I've sat back and watched these arguments go back and forth for a very long time. I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt but after seeing countless people come on here and/or ask his whereabouts and complain about not getting product/responses/refunds, it's time to say enough is enough. Continue to wave the Ash-spec flag all you want - I'm not protesting that. But don't get upset when people will present a counter-argument in hopes of saving someone from the frustration of dealing with him. Dave
